    while looting the ruins of the Temple of the Scale in the
    Dragonspine foothills. Fell in with a party hunting Spernik, a
    scribe and Cult of the Dragon agent who stole tomes from Mantor’s
    Library for the Lord Sage of Phlan, just as they finished off the
    temple’s risen zombies. Pried the gems from the dragon-carved
    pillars of the main hall and gathered old coins from the druids’
    living quarters. Destroyed a clutch of jellies, then broke
    through the door carved with the image of Tiamat and defeated
    Spernik and his kobolds, taking his gem. In the reliquary,
    confronted Scalebinder Skovac, the wight bound to the relic—a huge
    scale of an ancient red dragon that Spernik meant for the red
    dragon Scorlworyx. Persuaded that he stood eternal guard against
    the relic falling into evil hands, left him and the scale
    undisturbed."
